Wellness
USMD is as concerned with the health and wellness of our employees as we are of that of our patients.
Our Simply Engaged Health & Wellness Incentive Program rewards you with valuable gift cards up to $350 annually good at hundreds of national vendors when you and your covered spouse complete wellness activities such as Health Assessments, Online Health Coaching Programs, and Telephone based health coaching programs. We want you to take control of your health, and we reward you for doing that!
Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is provided by USMD at no cost to you and your family members – even those not enrolled in any of our other benefit plans. This program is strictly confidential and can assist you and your family in dealing with life’s challenges.
Paid Time Off
USMD offers a very generous Paid Time Off (PTO) Schedule for full time employees. Paid Time Off covers vacation, sick leave and holidays. PTO benefits begin at 20 days for employees with less than one year’s tenure, and increase to 36 days for those with twenty years or more.M
Retirement Savings Plan
USMD offers a generous 401(k) plan in which you may participate after only three months’ service. USMD will match 50% of your contribution up to the first 6% of the contribution you defer to the plan. Based on your tenure, 0-4 years of service: 50% match; 5-9 years of service: 75% match; 10+ years of service: 100% match.
Medical
Insurance plans begin on the first day of the month following thirty continuous days of full-time employment. We offer three competitive plans, all administered by UnitedHealthcare. Each option includes great prescription drug benefits through retail pharmacies and mail order. The difference in the plans is the amount of the deductible and coinsurance.
Dental
USMD offers your choice of a Dental PPO or HMO, both administered by Cigna.
Vision
Coverage is offered through Spectera, a UnitedHealth Group Company. You may use in or out-of-network vision care providers.
Tuition Reimbursement
Full time employees may receive up to $4,000 per year for courses based on a “C” grade or better if pursuing a degree program related to work duties.
Other Benefits
USMD provides 100% employer-paid benefits for:
- Basic Life Insurance ($50,000) and AD&D
- Short Term Disability
- Long Term Disability
Additional Voluntary Life Insurance and AD&D benefits are available for employee purchase.
Other Benefits include:
- Funeral Leave – First three days of absence paid for a death in the employee/spouse’s immediate family
- Flexible Spending Accounts – Health Care up to $3000 and Dependent Child Care up to $5000 pre-tax savings plans
- Jury Duty – USMD pays the difference between regular pay and juror’s stipend for up to one week
